ASPARAGUS WITH GARLIC AND BASIL
1-1/2 pounds of asparagus, washed and trimmed
2 cloves garlic minced
1 tsp. dried crushed basil or 1 tbs. fresh basil chopped
1 tbs. lite (lite, reduced sodium) soy sauce
In skillet heat 1/3 cup water until it boils. Add asparagus, cover and cook about 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Uncover and continue to boil about 2 minutes until water evaporates. Remove asparagus and keep warm. Spray dry skillet with cooking spray and add garlic and basil. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Stir in soy sauce and season with black pepper. Pour sauce over asparagus and serve
