GRILLING: BEER CAN BURGERS (click here to print)

BEER CAN BURGERS

Ingredients:
  • Onions
  • Peppers
  • Mushrooms
  • Ground beef
  • Canned beer
  • Bacon
  • Shredded cheese
  • Barbecue sauce (sugar free: found at wal-mart)
Directions:
  1. Grill onions, peppers, and mushrooms.
  2. Shape ground beef into balls slightly larger than a beer can’s base.
  3. Place the can on top of the beef ball and press down.
  4. Fold the beef up around the lower half of the can.
  5. Wrap the beef in a slice of bacon.
  6. Remove the can.
  7. Fill the beef cup with grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms, as well as shredded cheese.
  8. Brush barbecue sauce onto the bacon.
  9. Grill on medium heat for one hour.
Tip:  you can use a soda can instead of the beer can
